The professional choir Floreat Sonus ("let the sound flourish") was founded by its Conductor and Director, James Gorick.

Acclaimed for their invigorating sound this young, talented and accomplished choir has an immediacy of communication which resonates with today's audiences.

From early polyphony to contemporary repertoire, the ensemble is sought after for the excellence of its diverse and dynamic concert programmes and outstanding musicianship. The group, which varies from 8 - 24 voices, has established a reputation for versatility and the interpretation of music of all genres.

Floreat Sonus, under the direction of James Gorick, has the skill, passion and experience in the performance of wide-ranging repertoire which the choir enjoys presenting in a variety of concert venues.

Recent performances include The Cheltenham Festival, The City of London Festival, BBC Television (The Genius of Mozart), BBC Radio, The Barbican Centre, St John's Smith Square, with the London Handel Players, Gloucester Cathedral and Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford.
